Summary: Responsible for the accurate processing of loans, including researching background information on loan applications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Setup loan files, and maintain accurate log with all relevant dates
- Orders, tracks, and receives all items needed to process a loan, i.e.: VOE’s, VOD, VOM, VOL, title searches and real estate valuations/appraisals, insurance, etc.
- Analyzes the items as they are received to established underwriting criteria., including calculating income to make sure loan still qualifies.
- Keep loan officer informed of issues
- Maintain knowledge of bank loan services, policies, and procedures.
- Submit loans for underwriting
- Clear underwriting conditions and get loan ready for closing

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and understand bank, investor and government regulations.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
