Night Shift Charge Nurse-LPN or RN

The Baptist Homes of Arcadia Valley is looking for a part time Charge Nurse for night shift. This person needs to be licensed by the State of Missouri as an LPN or RN. The shift is 6:00PM to 6:30AM, and we need someone every Monday night, and every other Friday and Saturday night. There are other open shifts available at times due to sickness or vacation, and this person could move into working for us full time if they wanted to.

We are a CCRC and offer Independent Living, Assisted Living and Long -Term Care. We are currently only Medicaid certified but are working to become a SNF in the next 3 to 6 months. We are a ministry and a part of the Missouri Baptist Convention, we have been located in Ironton, MO since 1913 and strive to offer Christlike compassionate care in a home like atmosphere.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care.
• Assess patient needs and contact physicians or families as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status.
• Provide pain management strategies and support for patients experiencing discomfort.
• Ensure compliance with Electronic Health Records and documentation.
• Facilitate care for patients with dementia, ensuring their specific needs are met.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and address complex medical issues.
• Manage emergency situations effectively, utilizing emergency medicine protocols as needed.
• Supervise the Certified Nurse's Aide and CMT's and make sure all patients are cared for and all tasks are successfully completed on the shift.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Previous experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of various medical conditions.
• Familiarity with pain management techniques and approaches.
• Missouri State License as an LPN or RN.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
