The Barrel Steak & Seafood House is currently hiring full-time Kitchen Manager.
The Barrel Steak & Seafood House is an incredible, locally owned restaurant. Our mission is to be one of Spokanes favorite restaurants. We want our customers to experience exceptional service and fantastic food in the perfect setting for any occasion.

The Barrel Steak & Seafood House features signature seasoning and hand-selected beef from Pacific Northwest ranches. Our dining room and lounge are perfect for a classic cocktail after golf, for a family out for the evening or a celebratory anniversary dinner. Our patio is a true gem; one of the best in Spokane.
Wage
- Pay range for position : $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
Responsibilities / Duties
Follow all policies and proceduresOn time and attend all meetingsEnsure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of products to comply with set standardsMinimize waste and maximize thorough usage of food through careful ordering, proper and well-organized storage, and use of recipesMeet financial goals, such as but not limited to revenue, labor cost and COGS Manage inventory, waste logs, prep lists and order guides with accuracy and on-time submissionControl food costs by training kitchen staff on the proper methods of food preparation and handlingCoach, guide, develop and support the staff to provide an exceptional dining experienceEstablish goals for the kitchen, anticipate and resolve problems concerning all facets of the kitchenConduct regular inspections of the entire kitchen and promptly act to correct deficiencies found during inspectionMaintain effective working relationship with vendorsLead progressive discipline of staff membersInterview and select new staffConduct annual performance reviews for all staffManage staff environment and provide timely response to staff needsBe knowledgeable with troubleshooting restaurant equipment issues to avoid the use of external technicians when necessaryFollow uniform and hygiene standardsEnsure sanitation and food safety procedures, regulations and laws are strictly followedEnsure a safe working environment to reduce the risk of incident, injury and food handling related issuePlease note, job duties are subject to change at the companys discretion.
Skills / Experience
Washington State Food Worker Card (WSFWC)Certified Food Protection Manager certification preferredThree (3) years minimum in a kitchen management positionWilling to work a flexible schedule and weekendsStrong work ethic, reliable, aware of the detailsPersonable and enjoy leading a diverse teamPassion for food and hospitality is preferredProven leadership and motivational skillsDisplay a professional appearance and is a positive role model within the restaurantStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent guest relations skillsHigh guest satisfaction expectations and focusBasic computer knowledge (Microsoft) and office skills requiredRestaurant 365 knowledge a plusAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift 50 poundsBenefits :
