Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner Scheduler to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will also be responsible for performing routine pre and post-operation maintenance on the forklift to ensure it functions properly. In this role, attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate a forklift to move materials within the sawmill.
2. Load and unload trucks, stack and unstack pallets, and perform other material handling tasks.
3. Perform routine pre and post-operation inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
4. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
5. Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting goods movements and quantities.
6. Communicate with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate material handling activities.
7. Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
4. Knowledge of forklift safety regulations and best practices.
5. Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
7. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
8. Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
