Position Summary: We are seeking a Taylor Fork Lift Operator, to join our team. As a Taylor Fork Lift Operator, you will organize and stack materials in designated areas to maintain a clean and orderly yard. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the Taylor Big forklift to keep it in good working order.
Primary Duties:
- Unload and Reload Kilns
- Operating heavy-duty forklifts to transport materials and goods within a warehouse or storage facility.
- Moving large and heavy items safely and efficiently using the forklift.
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers with the forklift.
- Organizing and stacking merchandise in an organized manner.
- Inspecting and maintaining the forklift equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Following all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicating effectively with other team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.
- Keeping accurate records of inventory and materials handled.
- Assisting with other duties as needed within the warehouse or facility.
- To excel in this role, you should have a valid forklift operator certification and experience operating large forklifts. Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are also essential for success in this position.
Secondary Duties:
- Assisting with inventory management and counting stock
- Participating in regular safety meetings and training sessions
- Collaborating with other team members to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Providing assistance to other departments or areas of the facility as needed.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Following company policies and procedures at all times.
- Being flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions or priorities.
- Supporting a positive and productive work environment for all team members.
Required Skills:
- Capable of lifting 50-75 lbs
- Capable of operating a Taylor Forklift
- Willing to work 7 days a week including Holidays.
