**Job Description**:
The Behavior Place is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in evaluating and diagnosing developmental, intellectual, and learning disabilities in children and adolescents. You will work closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate assessments and recommendations to support the developmental needs of children.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments for children, including but not limited to cognitive, social-emotional, adaptive, and behavioral functioning.
- Use standardized testing and observation to evaluate developmental milestones and potential delays or disorders.
- Provide clear, thorough diagnostic reports and share findings with parents, caregivers, and other professionals.
- Develop individualized recommendations for interventions, educational planning, and therapeutic services based on assessment results.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers, therapists, and physicians, to create holistic support plans for children and families.
- Assist in identifying early signs of developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, and other developmental delays.
- Support families in understanding developmental challenges and provide guidance on available resources and services.
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, findings, and communication with families and colleagues.
- Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in developmental assessment and diagnosis.
**Qualifications**:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology or a related field.
- State certification/licensure as a psychologist.
- Experience in conducting developmental assessments, including testing for cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Strong knowledge of child development, developmental disabilities, and evidence-based assessment tools.
- Ability to work with children from diverse backgrounds and with various developmental challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate findings to families and professionals.
- Attention to detail and the ability to document assessments clearly and accurately.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help children reach their full potential.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with specific diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS, WISC, Vineland, or similar).
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, teachers, and pediatricians.
- Familiarity with local resources for children with developmental delays or disabilities.

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
