What are the responsibilities and job description for the Second Shift Machine Operators position at The Beistle Company?
Summary: The Production Machine Operator will safely operate and control various machines and equipment involved in production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Reads work instructions or job order on computer for product information and specifications such as priority, materials, and quality standards
- Performs appropriate start-up procedures with attention to safety factors
- Immediately corrects machine malfunction and product defect, using trouble-shooting and correction procedures as experience allows; if unable to fix machine, supervisor/appropriate person is informed and a work order is put in for anything that is not able to be fixed while in operation
- Continuously checks product for quality and standards
- Performs shutdown procedures
- Performs authorized maintenance, routine lubrication, cleaning, or other procedures as specified (necessary training provided)
- Prepares list of depleted items and informs supervisor of defective or unusable items
- Stocks and issues materials or merchandise
- Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies
- Follows all safety procedural guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervision
Starting rate of $14.00 per hour plus additional $1.00 shift differential.
