Job Description

Position/Title: Car Valet

Reports to: Front Desk Supervisor, Property Manager

Job Requirements

• Valid driver’s license without any points
• Appropriate personal hygiene, including a clean shave and neat haircut; no beard or earrings; no hats unless approved by the Association
• Wear a clean uniform daily
• Be polite and courteous at all times
• Regular attendance required
• Drug Free

Essential Duties

• Assist residents by opening doors, helping carry baggage in and out of

cars, to and from apartments and providing carts and valet service.

• Hail taxicabs and answer inquiries.
• Prevent entrance of unauthorized or undesirable persons by ensuring that all

guests sign in.

• Sign for all packages and notify residents or guests by telephone of delivery

of packages, or the arrival of visitors.

• Direct drivers to loading zone for moves in and out of the building and vendor delivery
• Be responsible for the security of the property and vehicles at all times, keeping all

keys in the proper key location with valet tag attached and refusing to give the key to any unauthorized person.

• Report any incidents to the Front, Desk Supervisor.
• Understand the importance of good attitude and "team spirit" and work well with

other staff members.

Tasks

Daily - Listening, talking/interacting, communicating with other employees, supervisors, and guests; standing, walking, seeing; driving vehicles both manual and automatic; providing for and ensuring the security of all vehicles on the property and ensuring the compliance with all written operating instructions; practicing safety at all times while performing the job; being alert to unauthorized individuals on the property; assisting residents and/or guests with luggage in and out of their apartments and vehicles.

Variable - Respond to emergencies as instructed or trained; attend department and/or property meetings; maintain work area, driveway, break room and front desk areas as instructed; perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use hands to touch, handle, or feel; to reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is required to stoop, crouch and step up to enter and/or exit vehicles. The employee is occasionally required to kneel. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Environmental Conditions

The employee must be able to perform the job while exposed to outside elements such as sun, humidity, rain, snow and/or sleet and conditions such as moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Language Skills

Ability to speak read and write, in English, a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers, and the ability to write simple sentences in English.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
