- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of food handling.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper storage practices are followed.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with culinary standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of food management.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, dining space, and kitchen facilities.
- Utilize POS systems for order processing and cash handling efficiently.
- Collaborate with management to implement new initiatives aimed at improving service quality.
Experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the food service industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and fine dining standards is essential.
- Experience managing shifts in a fast-paced environment such as hotels or bars is advantageous.
- Familiarity with POS systems is required; experience with various point-of-sale software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- A passion for coffee or specialty beverages is considered an asset.
