Supports the Chief Engineer with building data storage architecture, including schema, formatting, indexing, accessing, retrieving, and maintaining data integrity.
Your Impact :
As a Junior Data Scientist, you will support an exciting National Security mission to position NGA to be the enterprise and community GEOINT data provider, improving the way analysts, customers, and end users access, discover, stage, link, produce, re-integrate, and deliver intelligence. You will work with talented developers and colleagues, gaining exposure to industry best practices such as AWS cloud solutions.
Responsibilities :
- As a Junior Data Scientist, you will work as part of team of data engineers, database developers and visualization specialists to analyze large sets of structured data, looking for anomalies and undiscovered correlations
- Perform deep dive analysis into data sets and reports to identify problems or suspected issues with data
- Able to develop & use exceptionally complex concepts & processes that span multiple organizations and disciplines
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase available data quality and speed of delivery
- Participate on an Agile development team, using Scrum techniques, as a contributing development team member
- Work with the software engineering team to deploy models that provide ongoing forecasts, optimizations, recommendations, and insights to support the Chief Data Office
