The Blackburn Inn and Conference Center is searching for a personable, friendly, and passionate individual to join our team as a Housekeeper/Room Attendant. As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel while providing guests with quality service in a timely and friendly manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Smile, have fun and be energetic!
- General cleaning and upkeep of guestrooms and other assigned areas while adhering to safety and security procedures.
- Changing linen and making beds.
- Deep cleaning of bathrooms.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Cleaning windows and balconies.
- Retrieving and restocking the housekeeping carts according to standard housekeeping, safety, and security procedures.
- Receiving assigned section, keys, supplies, and any priority room requests from the shift supervisor.
- Turning in keys and unused supplies at the end of each shift.
- Responding to guest requests and reporting guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Properly storing any lost items and reporting any damage or maintenance problems to the shift supervisor.
- Working with a variety of different cleaning products and understanding their use.
- Assisting in a lobby attendant, laundry or in a house-person role, as requested.
- Participating in quarterly deep cleaning efforts or as required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Must possess strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform basic duties in an efficient manner.

- Responsible and trustworthy.
- Attention to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work productively with other associates as part of a team.
- Ability to work without constant, direct supervision.
- Ability to work a flexible work week including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous housekeeping, hotel or cleaning experience is a plus!
Pay rate: starts at $14.50 /hr. Rate is flexible depending on previous experience.
