Pay Range: $38- $46 per hour

The Blackhawk Group is seeking an experienced QA Inspector to join our dynamic aviation team in Broomfield, CO. This critical role ensures aircraft and components meet all FAA and repair station requirements by conducting thorough inspections, verifying documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on aircraft and components to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and repair station policies.
- Ensure repair station work orders and documentation are complete before releasing aircraft or products to service.
- Determine that all technical data used on all articles overhauled or repaired by the Repair Station are complete and are current with the latest revisions. This data will include manufacturers manuals, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, article specifications, related Federal Aviation Administration approved data and other technical data used by the Repair Station.
- Research aircraft maintenance records to determine the status of “time items” service bulletins and letters, airworthiness directives, special inspection requirements, overhaul, and maintenance schedule requirements are identified.
- Ensure that all technicians are trained, and training records are maintained.
- Assure that required periodic checks on all inspection tools and the calibration of precision test equipment used by the Repair Station is accomplished as scheduled.
- Ensure all facility safety protocols, procedures, training, and certifications are followed.
- Conduct incoming inspections of aircraft, components, and other aviation-related articles.
- Complete and review Form 337s and 8130s as required.
- Assist technicians with regulatory and repair station compliance, ensuring adherence to ADs, SBs, and time-limited maintenance items.
- Oversee logbook entries and ensure accuracy in maintenance records.
- Maintain compliance with airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs), and FAA regulations.
- Ensure customers receive a safe and high-quality product, maintaining high standards of aircraft safety and reliability.
- A&P License is required.
- 5 years of General Aviation experience.
- 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance (QA) role within aviation.
- Experience working with Turbo Prop Part 91 aircraft (TBM, King Air, PC-12, or similar).
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations, FARs, and repair station procedures.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance documentation, work order closures, and logbook entries.
- Experience with Major Repairs, Major Alterations and documentation of such via 337.
- Ability to analyze, inspect, and troubleshoot aircraft systems and components.
- Experience with bridging/conforming aircraft maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of borescope operation and review.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities efficiently.
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Associate degree in Aviation
- Previous project management and supervisory experience in a QA role.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment while adhering to all OSHA, EPA, state, and federal safety regulations.
