The Blueshirt Group is looking for an associate to join our team in New York. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned Investor Relations (IR) and Wall Street professionals and learn from the best. Responsibilities:
- Serve as support to directors or managing directors and step in as client contact as needed;
- Monitor and effectively summarize daily research, news, and for client companies, peer group and industries;
- Edit or draft frameworks of financial press releases and other related documentation;
- Manage call and meeting logistics and assist in preparation and execution;
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and models for tracking analyst consensus and other benchmarking data for client companies;
- Organize and prepare briefings for investor meetings;
- Update company presentations;
- Coordinate other IR related meetings and conferences;
- Develop and maintain relationships with other analysts, associates and colleagues across the firm as well as within the investment community.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of work experience in investor relations, consulting, investment banking, buy-side/sell-side or other Wall Street facing role;
- BA/BS degree in finance, business, economics or related major with strong academic record
- Ability to work from the office at least one day per week;
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, multitask and deliver quality work under pressure;
- Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently while possessing a team attitude;
- Commitment to client service;
- Strong Excel skills, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google suite, and familiarity with financial data and research platforms.
