Technical Sales Representative – New England
Territory: New England territory: ME, VT, NH, MA and RI
Reports to: Director of Sales
Travel requirements: This position will be traveling 2-3 days a week.
The ideal candidate will reside in Boston, MA or the surrounding areas, have prior sales experience working with an established distribution network, and be able to travel throughout the territory as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Cultivate a strong and loyal distributor network and customer base to achieve broad distribution of professional product lines.
• Make regular customer visits throughout the entire territory. Arrange 4-6 customer visits per day including distributors, PMPs and municipalities.
• Introduce new products to distributors and operators.
• Provide technical training to distributor sales representatives and operators.
• Collaborate with field service professionals to conduct inspections and troubleshoot challenging customer accounts.
• Give presentations at association meetings, conferences and distributor events.
• Attend appropriate industry and distributor trade shows.
• Develop and implement an annual business plan.
• Communicate with supervisor on a regular basis.
• Travel throughout the territory in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business/marketing.
• Sales experience selling to an established distribution network is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and follow through.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
• Computer literate with solid skills in PowerPoint/Keynote and customer database management system.
• Public speaking ability.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• 2-3 days of travel per week is required.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
