POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for building and managing a sales territory. This will be done by a combination of prospecting, penetration, and account management. As part of this there would be initiating contact with existing and new potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and growing established relationships. The Outside Sales Rep must have prior sales experience within the foodservice industry and must be able to travel regularly to meet with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generate new customers and business opportunities, while also maintaining established relationships with existing customers.
Negotiate with customers using a combination of product, industry, and competitive knowledge.
Provide customers with a consultative experience. Sharing information about product and the industry, as well as offering ideas to enhance their operation. Bringing them ideas before they know that they need them.
Developing a margin improvement strategy for overall territory.
Provide timely and accurate quotations, with regular follow up
Build and maintain a well-developed business – customers, orders, pipeline
Meet and/or exceed revenue and margin budget annually.
Provide an excellent level of Customer Service to both internal and external customers.
Investigate customer issues and solve routine industry problems on site.
Both written and verbal communication styles must be presented in a confident, articulate, and professional manner.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Sales, Business, or Marketing).
Prior sales experience, specifically in the Foodservice Supply Industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft programs
Working knowledge of Power BI, HubSpot, AutoQuotes, SAP a plus
Strong customer relationship building skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a self-starter who takes initiative
Must be able to travel to meet with customers
Must be able to travel to the corporate office, in Pewaukee, once monthly
