How your role fits into Boldt:
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role will perform various accounting tasks in the corporate office setting, to ensure accurate and timely completion of work within the accounting system. Depending on the need, this role may focus in one or more areas to include Real Estate, Accounts Payable, Payroll and/or Corporate Accounting.
What you get to do:
Assume responsibility of the fixed asset management system and accurate monthly reporting.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and associated journal entries.
Assist with the monthly and annual financial close processes.
Make recommendations to supervisor for cost effective methods of accomplishing specific functions.
Prepare monthly reports and complete other projects as advised.
Assist with third party audits and prepare reports for third party requests.
Provide honest, balanced feedback to encourage and empower others.
Optimize the achievement of departmental goals and business metrics to meet long-term strategic plan.
What we expect from you:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance is required. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
One or more years accounting experience required, construction accounting experience desired.
Knowledge of GAAP.
Ability to work independently but also collaborate in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes
Physical requirements and working conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to effectively communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.
The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,120 - $62,273 per year. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work at our Appleton, WI office. If the incumbent works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.
