What are the responsibilities and job description for the COOP Corporate Accounting position at The Boston Beer Company?
We are currently hiring an Accounting COOP for our Accounting Team at our headquarters in the Seaport area in Boston, MA* . This position is from July-December.
- This role is hybrid, which requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite 3 days per week.

BBC will provide CO-OPs with meaningful learning, social, and networking experiences, exposure to real life business challenges, platform for creative thinking, and opportunity to work alongside and learn from BBC coworkers cross functionally.
By the end of CO-OP, students will have learned and gained core project management skills, marketing, and core business acumen, built relationships with our teams, have exposure to customer and consumer feedback, develop product launch support and marketing campaigns, and develop other marketing functional skills (depending on department placement).
What You'll Brew:
- Reconcile and post customer credits for product returns and deposit redemptions
- Communicate to customers regarding outstanding credits and resolving discrepancies
- Review change in price and materials to confirm accurate billings/credits
- Own weekly upload process for third party dunnage returns to Parallel
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure returns process is completed timely and accurately
- Assist in gathering support and invoices for State tax audits
- Review invoices and transactions monthly to determine taxability for state reporting
- Assist in providing audit support to both internal and external auditors Play a key role in special projects and other assignments as needed

Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program - Preferred fields of study are business, marketing, finance, or economics
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate with remote stakeholders
- Is detail oriented, a team player, and follows up on commitments
- Delivers quality results on or ahead of schedule
- Ability and willingness to come up with creative solutions for problems
- Must be able to commute daily to Seaport Area in Boston, MA, and/or work remotely with wi-fi connection.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Students 21 years of age are preferred
- Experience working with or supporting a sales team is helpful
- Experience working in an office setting preferred

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay range for this role if hired is $18 - $20 per hour. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
