Job Purpose We are seeking a [6-month co-op student | summer intern] in our Boston office. This is a unique opportunity to join a talented team of professionals and support our complex and dynamic business in the achievement of our strategic plan. Job Responsibilities Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities including journal entry preparation, financial analysis, and monthly financial reporting. Recording daily cash transfers and receipts for major US & Canadian-based entities. Preparing monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items. Collaborating to create workpapers to support external audits and the preparation of income tax returns. Completing ad hoc special projects and analyses as requested to support the Accounting and Finance team. Education and Experience 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance. Previous accounting and/or relevant co-op experience is preferred but not required. Completion of ACCT 3401 and/or ACCT 4501 (Financial Reporting and Analysis 1 & 2) preferred but not required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities The ability to self-motivate and multi-task deliverables to meet deadlines set by Management. Attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills. A good attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications (required). Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. A demonstrated work ethic and professional demeanor.
