Senior Accountant
Active, Innovative Long-Term Care Community Seeks Enthusiastic Part-time Accountant.
We are hiring a part-time (16-24 hours/wk) accountant interested in working in a non-profit nursing home. You will learn new systems and areas working directly under a CFO/CPA with opportunity for advancement.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and assist with the month-end close process.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
Maintain prepaid, accruals and other schedules.
Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Record and reconcile cash, credit card and insurance payments.
Analyze financial statements and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analyses.
Prepare for the annual audit and work with outside CPAs.
Qualifications
Degree in accounting
3 years experience in general accounting or bookkeeping
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail and follow-up
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong Excel and computer skills and strong accounting systems knowledge in at least one product
