Job Description
The Auto Body Technician plays a vital role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition through meticulous assessment and quality repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute our WOW plan consistently.
- Prepare cost estimates for customers using various tools to repair vehicle sections.
- Hammmer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage, or mix and apply filler resins when necessary.
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts.
- Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
- Repair interior parts and weld or attach new parts into place.
- Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent.
- Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure all work has been executed correctly.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer is preferred.
- Required Skills: Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision. Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies. Knowledge of how to use tools required for the trade.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Ability to visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions. Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
