Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security breaches and cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Identify and investigate security incidents, providing timely response and resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enforce security best practices.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Stay current with the latest security technologies, trends, and industry standards.
- Conduct employee training and awareness programs on security best practices.
- Participate in incident response and forensic investigations when required.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to support incident response efforts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration and management of network devices, servers, and applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Technology Security Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, COBIT) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Experience in security incident response and forensic analysis.
- Proficiency in security assessment tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Information security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security , CISA, CEH, CISM, CCSP) are preferred.
