- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, and hardscaping materials
- Ability to operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of grounds maintenance workers
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans for all outdoor grounds
- Ensure the proper care of plants, trees, shrubs, and lawns through watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Monitor and maintain grounds maintenance equipment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure grounds are meeting organizational standards
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and maintenance needs
