POSITION SUMMARY
To provide superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service by providing the highest standard of quality medical care to Brevard Health Alliance (BHA) patients through the primary care medical home model. Under the observation of their supervising Physician and respective department Chief / Director, the APRN provides extraordinary patient care throughout BHA Clinics.
GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Master of Science in Nursing from an educational institution approved by the Florida Department of Health.
- Clear and active Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure
- 3 years’ experience of related clinical experience preferred. Experience in a primary health care environment, community health center or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) preferred
- Experience working in various outpatient settings
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to speak and understand the English language to effectively communicate with patients
- Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology
