The Warehouse Associate is responsible for handling product in a distribution center/warehouse environment safely and efficiently. This role requires operating a forklift, picking orders, preparing shipments, performing cycle counts, and loading/unloading trucks. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, forklift experience, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle products safely and efficiently utilizing a forklift.
- Pick orders from stock or staging areas.
- Assist in accurate preparation of outgoing shipments, including packaging, wrapping, kitting, assembly, weighing, paperwork processing, and labeling.
- Provide cycle count support to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks with outgoing and incoming materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
- Ensure all orders meet quality and accuracy standards.
- Operate motorized equipment such as a forklift, with the ability to climb on and off as required.
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to lift and handle materials regularly.
- Visual acuity required to ensure accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.
- High school diploma or equivalent desired.
- 3 years of forklift driving experience (previous Forklift Certification a plus).
- Strong safety record.
- 1–2 years of picking experience to develop familiarity with material handling methods and accuracy requirements.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Ability to understand and speak English.
