Job Overview
The Brewing Projekt in Eau Claire WI is looking for an individual to fill the role of QAQC Manager. This position could be full time, part time, or could even be an internship position. This position covers all aspects of quality from “grain to glass” daily. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and passionate about continuous improvement.
Duties / Responsibilities
· Understand all processes related to wort production, practical fermentation, finished goods packaging, and all steps inbetween
· Preform daily QAQC checks throughout processes
· Perform gravity readings, Co2 checks, Biological checks
· Take DO/TPO measurements, seam checks / inspections
· Follow and improve upon existing SOPs and GMPs
· Assist in management of QAQC related compliance
· Keep records and track QAQC samples
· Assist in management of scheduling to ensure quality control is consistent
· Yeast management including viability tests and propagation
· Create and manage an internal sensory panel with an emphasis on brand standards
· Work with production team to ensure proper training on SOPS and that procedures and processes have a Quality outcome focus
· Work with packaging team to ensure proper training on SOPS and that procedures and processes have a Quality outcome focus
· Assist in recipe creation and refinement through practical research and development
· Take on research and development projects related to raw materials and processes
· Take on research and debelopment projects related to continuing education for QAQC staffwide discussion
· Strive for continuous improvement across all areas of the brewing process
Requirements
· Experience in a laboratory setting or other relevant QAQC experience
· Organized and proficient with Microsoft Office
· Able to communicate effectively across all departments
· Willingness to learn and grow with the industry
· Ability to multitask to cover multiple departments throughout a normal production day
· Positive attitude and a can-do work ethic
· Work well as a member of a larger team
· Be able to stand and move throughout the brewery for an entire shift
· Ability to lift 50lbs from time to time as necessary
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
