What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Pastor/Director position at The Bridge Church?
Principal Function:
The Middle School Pastor/Director will work alongside the Student Pastor to lead a volunteer team that impacts the lives of students in 6th-8th grade, playing a key role in a comprehensive and active Student Ministry of The Bridge Church, allowing students to find and follow Jesus Christ, here and around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer Engagement
- Create community through building and equipping adult volunteer teams who are focused on making a positive impact on the lives of students
Student Engagement
- Engage with middle school students, helping them to find and follow Jesus
- Interact with students in regular and organic rhythms to create pathways towards discipleship
- Teach, when needed, during the weekly student services with biblical accuracy, engaging students in relevant ways
- Assist Student Pastor with communication to students, parents, volunteers, and staff in reference to Student Ministry events and activities
- Assist Student Pastor with maintaining an online presence via social media platforms to maintain communication with students and parents
- Outreach to new students through campus contacts or after school contacts
Job-Related Duties
- Coordinate and/or lead any necessary student camps, retreats, and mission trips
- Utilize the systems and structures in place to manage attendance and connections with students
General Responsibilities
- Be an active participant in the life and community of The Bridge Church.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the worship and creative vision of the church.
Qualifications:
- A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission and vision of The Bridge Church.
- A commitment to reaching the youth in our church and community, both those lost and those already pursuing Christ using patience, love, and skills related to leading students in a large church setting
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well with volunteers and foster a collaborative team environment..
- Agreement with the vision, mission, and statement of faith of The Bridge Church.
