Senior Data Scientist (Subject Matter Expert)- (TOP SECRET/SCI Level)- This position is tasked with compiling data from multiple sources within Special Operations Division. The position requires experience as a Senior Intelligence Targeter with both active and passive data collection and analytics; experience with standardizing large, disparate sets of investigative data, and subsequent analysis using law enforcement, intelligence, and commercial databases. This individual facilitates process improvement through development of communications data analysis tools and through their experience, must be able to recommend targets of investigation and collection. Furthermore, this position requires experience at the strategic level in working with large-scale data models, based on quantitative and qualitative seizures, geographic locations, and area code tolls analytics to define, model, and effectively brief leadership on the results of the defined threat. The data modeling should provide key insights and deficiencies for HQ and field leadership to make significant resource decisions. The SME’s work products should focus on identifying gaps in intelligence at the international, regional or local level and provide leadership the analytic product to direct the field with the best strategy to attack the network. In order to perform assigned duties, this individual will have access to classified computer networks, such as Merlin to retrieve/review information and will be required to attend classified briefings given by DEA and other Federal Agencies. Due to the nature of this work, it is not feasible to minimize the access to only a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Based on the operational needs and job requirements, this position needs to have a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance level. o Qualifications 10 years of experience in data analysis and threat targeting; law enforcement analysis of drug trafficking data desired. 5 years of experience leading projects/investigations. Minimum Education: A Bachelor’s Degree. A graduate degree or applicable work experience in data science is desirable. Overview

Experience

- Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases and managing data.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools like SAS for advanced analytics.
- Experience with model training techniques and best practices in machine learning.
- Understanding of database design principles to support robust data architectures.
- Previous experience working with TensorFlow is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
