What you will be doing:
- Oversees shift operations in La Taverne, our signature restaurant offering subtle French influences
- Trains and monitors dining room employees for excellent service.
- Schedules dining room staff to ensure service delivery
- Checks reservations for special parties and verifies complete instructions for said parties.
- Presents menu to the guest, offers recommendations and description for the purpose of assisting and upselling the menu.
- Assists waitstaff in retrieving items from the kitchen and bar, serving when necessary.
- Assists the bartender as needed.
- Adjusts complaints regarding food or service.
- Ensure station and sidework are complete prior to staff leaving.
- Responsible for the training and orientation of new employees.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
