The Broadway Columbia Hotel and Hampton Inn and Suites (at the University of Missouri) is currently hiring candidates for the Banquet event server position. The ideal candidate will have flexible availability, have previous serving or bartending experience, and be committed to being a part of a great team. Job Purpose: The purpose of the Banquet Server is to work in tandem with other banquet staff towards the effective operations of banquets, meetings, and other events to ensure consistent levels of service are provided.

Essential Job Functions:

· Resolve customer complaints regarding food service and event experience
· Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards are being upheld
· Control inventories of food, beverage, equipment, small ware, and report overages/shortages to designated personnel
· Specify food portions and courses, production and time sequences, and workstation and equipment arrangements
· Greet and seat guests, and present menus and wine lists and other necessary event activities
· Involvement with patrons and take reservations changes and make appropriate changes
· Participate in kitchen, event space and dining area cleaning activities including setting for future events.
· Any other duties which may be required to ensure guest satisfaction

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.75 - $22.75 per hour
