Position Summary:
Our Property Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, residential life programs, and facilities management of our student housing community. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Property Manager ensures a secure, well-maintained, and vibrant living environment that enhances the student experience while maintaining strong financial and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of residential life, including programs, events, and community engagement initiatives.
- Serve as an accessible and approachable resource for student staff and residents.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to manage expenditures related to community engagement, capital improvements, and staff development.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure that safety, security, and maintenance standards are met.
- Work closely with maintenance and housekeeping teams to maintain a high-quality living environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with campus and community stakeholders to foster strategic partnerships.
- Develop and implement marketing and recruiting strategies to maintain high occupancy rates, including outreach and participation in university events.
- Provide training and leadership for residential life staff, fostering community building, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
- Address and follow up on resident and parent concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage administrative tasks related to housing operations, including budgeting and compliance with university housing policies.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive living environment that enhances the students’ experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in property management, marketing, business administration, student affairs, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in property management, student housing, or a related area.
- A high energy individual who is naturally positive and keeps cool under pressure - and enjoys hanging out with college kids!
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, and operational oversight.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and resolve issues efficiently.
- Experience supervising employees and fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with digital tools for administration, communication, and marketing such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.
- Experience with social media (TikTok, Instagram) and basic photography skills is a plus.
