Barista and Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your passion for coffee and commitment to customer satisfaction will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently to process customer orders and handle cash transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations, answer questions about menu items, and promote sales.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Uphold high standards of quality in every beverage served while maintaining speed of service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an interest in learning more about coffee varieties is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must possess food handling certification or be willing to obtain it upon hiring.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
