What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Assistant General Manager (AGM) position at The Brown Hotel?
The Assistant General Manager will be directly responsible for the Front Office, Valet, Housekeeping and Security departments and will also assist in Food & Beverage operations.
Essential Duties:
Plan, direct and coordinate exceptional guest service standards in order to meet and exceed guest expectations Provide effective leadership to management team and team members to ensure targets are met and exceeded. Ensure that labor and expenses are controlled throughout assigned departments and results are analyzed regularly to highlight areas of opportunity. Manage and develop the Department Heads and Supervisors to ensure career progression and effective succession planning. Conduct frequent service audits and guestroom/public area inspections. Seek and respond to guest feedback.
Requirements:
A minimum of three years of experience in a similar position in an upscale hotel property with a heavy focus on rooms profitability and a background in Food & Beverage. Extensive industry knowledge and a proven ability to promote 4-diamond service. Excellent verbal/written communication skills, strong presence and a polished professional image. Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high level of performance and exceed targets.
