Peer Support Liaison

Description

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Peer Support Liaison to join our Care Management Entity (CME). The Peer Support Liaison is responsible for developing and maintaining a resource library of community support for caregivers served in peer support programming, developing and maintaining curriculum for peer support groups, and leading and facilitating consistent peer support group sessions focusing on maintaining a supportive community for families served in peer support programming.

What You’ll Do

• Assess caregiver needs to assess and inform peer support program resource and system of care development needs.
• Develop collaborative relationships with providers of services/resources tailored to the needs of culturally diverse clients and family members.
• Effectively facilitate peer support groups with caregivers through active engagement utilizing strength-based language in interactions.
• Adjust the type and intensity of support offered to meet the needs of the caregivers and youth through collaboration, resource development and information sharing to meet the caregiver and youth needs.
• Ensure that family members are supported through the peer support group model.
• Manage behavioral health crises through appropriate interventions.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• You have a high school diploma, or GED.
• You have one year of experience working with youth.
• You are a certified peer supporter (can be obtained post-hire).
• You have an active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
