The Main Place, Inc. is a peer run mental health and wellness center that promotes health and wellness in a safe, secure, nurturing environment. Consumers have access to peer support, socialization, education and training lead by consumers sharing their lived experiences. Through these experiences, consumers are better equipped to lead healthy lives and participate in their communities.
Your day to day as a Peer Support
As a Full-Time Peer Support staff member at The Main Place, your role will involve facilitating peer group meetings within our welcoming drop-in center. You will have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with peers seeking assistance, providing them with invaluable support and guidance. Additionally, you will play a key role in assisting with the intake process for new peers accessing our center, ensuring a smooth and welcoming entry into our community. Your ability to connect with individuals on a personal level and your commitment to promoting a customer-centric environment will be essential in helping our peers feel supported and valued.
