Summary
The Human Resources Intern will provide support to Human Resources, specifically the Teammate Relations Team. The Human Resources Intern will contribute to the business while gaining on the job experience. This position will encompass a more complete understanding of the Human Resources field in a multi-state/multi-location retail company.

Education And/or Experience
Candidate must be actively pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Communications, or related field preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources. Previous Human Resources, customer service, or administrative experience is preferred but not required.

Relationship Management and Communication
- Triage questions or issues to ensure their timely resolution by the appropriate HR Teammate.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with HR policies and procedures through analytical reporting from the HRIS and provide thorough communication with impacted groups or individuals.
- Provide support to the Teammate Relations Team by assisting in formal investigations.
- Maintain and update Teammate and HR Department records and files.
- Prepare communications for HR presentations, documents, and mailings as needed.
- Assist with preparing and presenting company-wide training and related compliance measures.
- Assist in the coordination of corporate events.
- Overall administrative support for the Human Resources Department with opportunities to shadow other HR teams, such as Hiring, Benefits, and Recruiting.
- Ensure an accurate and timely payroll process by generating payroll reports and verifying that all timecard edits are completed.
- Always maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
