A cleaning and maintenance professional who travels between different locations to provide their services. Unlike a regular custodian who is assigned to a specific building or area, a roving custodian may work at various sites within a district, organization, or company. Days: Monday through Friday Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM Pay: $20.00/hr DUTIES: Cleaning and maintaining various types of educational buildings. Will be conducting a variety of cleaning tasks: Such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and emptying trash. Maintaining grounds and outdoor areas: This may involve picking up trash, blowing off sidewalks of debris, and other foreign material Responding to cleaning emergencies: Such as spills, leaks, or other unexpected messes. Performing minor maintenance tasks: Like changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, or repairing minor damage. Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment: Including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners. Following safety procedures: To ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others. Communicating effectively with clients and supervisors: To ensure that their work meets expectations. Roving custodians need to be flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently. They should also have a strong work ethic and be able to manage their time effectively. The specific duties and responsibilities of a roving custodian can vary depending on the employer and the types of facilities they service. REQUIREMENTS:  Must have at least 1-3 years of janitorial. Knowledge of basic cleaning processes is critical to be successful in this role Must have own reliable transportation. Cannot get picked up or dropped off.  Must be able to pass a background check and TB test RESTRICTIONS: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, push, and pull May be required to climb ladders
