What is a Flex Team Member you ask?
A cleaning and maintenance professional who travels between different locations to provide their services. Unlike a regular custodian who is assigned to a specific building or area, a roving custodian may work at various sites within a district, organization, or company.
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Pay: $20.00/hr
Locations: Charleston, SC (West Ashley) OR Mt. Pleasant. Will be assigned to one area only.

DUTIES:

• Cleaning and maintaining various types of educational buildings. Will be conducting a variety of cleaning tasks: Such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and emptying trash.
• Maintaining grounds and outdoor areas: This may involve picking up trash, blowing off sidewalks of debris, and other foreign material
• Responding to cleaning emergencies: Such as spills, leaks, or other unexpected messes.
• Performing minor maintenance tasks: Like changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, or repairing minor damage.
• Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment: Including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Following safety procedures: To ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
• Communicating effectively with clients and supervisors: To ensure that their work meets expectations.

Roving custodians need to be flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently. They should also have a strong work ethic and be able to manage their time effectively.
The specific duties and responsibilities of a roving custodian can vary depending on the employer and the types of facilities they service.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have at least 1-3 years of janitorial. Knowledge of basic cleaning processes is critical to be successful in this role
• Must have own reliable transportation. Cannot get picked up or dropped off.
• Must be able to pass a background check and TB test

RESTRICTIONS:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, push, and pull
• May be required to climb ladders
