Operations Manager
Join our team! We're seeking a driven and experienced Operations Manager to oversee multiple customer accounts and lead our cleaning and maintenance teams. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our clients' commercial and institutional buildings. This is a Tuesday through Saturday position having Sunday and Monday as your off days.
What you'll do:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cleaning professionals, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
Proactively address and resolve employee and customer concerns, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Schedule and assign tasks, and conduct regular inspections to guarantee work meets our high standards.
Implement and enforce safety protocols, including site-specific training for all new employees.
Manage inventory, order necessary supplies and equipment, and maintain all equipment in excellent working condition.
Accurately record employee hours worked or oversee timekeeping procedures.
Step in and perform cleaning duties as needed to support the team.
Conduct regular site inspections and provide clients with detailed monthly reports on building conditions and progress.
Leverage your understanding of the business-to-business service industry, particularly in a commodity-driven environment, to drive success.
What you'll bring:
Minimum of 2-5 years of supervisory/management experience, or a degree from a 4-year college or 2-year technical institution.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and clients.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions (written and oral).
Ability to learn and apply basic principles and techniques.
Ability to accurately identify numbers and volumes.
Valid driver's license.
Additional Information:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises hourly general cleaners and oversees a site without dedicated site managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
