Come join our Hampton team!! You'll be assigned one primary worksite, a Mon -Fri schedule (rotating on call), Tools & Uniform provided!
Pay: $30- $32 Location: Hampton
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: May include any or all of the following. Other duties assigned as needed by Maintenance Supervisor
Conduct regular building tours, inspections, identifying needs and executing corrective action and/or coordinating with management and outside contractors.
Cutting, assembling and installing pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
Locate and repair issues with water supply lines and drains.
Installing and maintaining water supply systems.
Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems.
Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.).
Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes.
Possess the ability to work independently and as a team member.
Maintain good working order of company vehicle
Following all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and use appropriate PPE.
Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
Document all installed equipment
Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts and calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations.
Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records on material and labor.
Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
Identify and report to Maintenance Supervisor potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Position Specifications:
Certificates, licenses, registrations: Valid VA drivers’ license. Valid plumbing license.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate degree or two-year degree of an plumbing program from a trade school or community college preferred or completion of an plumbing apprenticeship program.
Experience: Requires three to five years’ experience in inspection, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting plumbing systems and equipment.
Skills: Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plumbing diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals. Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with arms and hands. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift / move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work environment: The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc. including AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. The noise level is usually moderate.
