Amplified Buffalo, the sales and marketing division of The Buffalo News, is seeking a Production Assistant to join our content studio team. As a Production Assistant you will gather content for our sponsored series and work with clients to help them achieve their marketing goals. This role will involve shooting video for web and social as well as working with our clients to create video and photo marketing for multiple platforms.
The successful candidate will be able to work with a team and clients in order to shoot video, capture still images and design content that serves The Buffalo News audience and tells our clients’ story.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Shooting and editing video for multiple platforms
Capturing still images
Creating visual concepts
Identifying areas and platforms of opportunity
Working with content team to achieve goals
Shooting video and taking photos for Buffalo Magazine
Working with clients on visual storytelling
Meeting production deadlines
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
1 years of video and photo production related experience
Ability to capture still images and shoot video for various platforms
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Well organized, detail oriented and excellent follow-through, and must be able to work under deadlines
Have a dedicated and driven work ethic
Working knowledge of basic computer programs – Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe suite
This position offers a starting salary of $40,000 based on experience. This full-time position will predominantly report in office Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Occasional work or special projects may be needed during evenings or weekends.
