Position Summary:

The Marketing and Community Manager will drive audience engagement, enhance community connections and promote The Business News across multiple platforms. This role involves managing social media channels, developing campaigns, fostering community relationships, and providing creative oversight to ensure cohesive and impactful marketing efforts. The Marketing and Community Manager reports directly to the CEO of The Business News. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent The Business News’s brand and interest publicly in the communities of Wisconsin and do so authentically and in alignment with organizational principles and values.
• Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote The Business News, its publications, and events.
• Creative Direction: Lead the creation and curation of high-quality marketing materials, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all platforms. Collaborate with designers, photographers, and other creatives to produce compelling content.
• Social Media Management: Manage and grow the newspaper's social media presence across platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Content Creation: Create engaging content, including graphics, videos, posts, and campaigns tailored to the business community.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze social media and campaign metrics, making data-driven improvements to enhance effectiveness.
• Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, business organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen The Business News’s presence and influence.
• Event Promotion: Coordinate promotions and advertising for events, publications, and special projects, including logistical and creative support for community outreach.
• Email Marketing: Oversee email marketing campaigns and newsletters to increase subscriber engagement and promote new content.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Proven experience in social media management, marketing, and brand management.
• Strong writing, editing, and creative skills, with an eye for design and branding consistency.
• Familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Analytical skills and experience using tools like Google Analytics or social media dashboards.
• Experience collaborating with creative teams.
• Enthusiasm for community engagement and building relationships within the business sector.
