Our client is seeking a talented and personable Seasonal Chef to join their team for the summer season in Sag Harbor. This position requires a chef who is passionate about healthy cooking, farm-to-table ingredients, and creating beautiful, thoughtfully prepared dishes. The chef will work closely with the client to design and execute menus, with a focus on Italian, Mediterranean, and some Asian-inspired dishes. The role also involves preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as occasionally catering small dinner parties for 6-8 guests.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve healthy meals, focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients, sourced from local farmer’s markets.
Plan and prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus with a focus on Italian, Mediterranean, and Asian-inspired cuisine.
Work with the client to create personalized menus and meal plans, ensuring that their preferences and dietary needs are met.
Occasionally prepare and serve dinner parties for 6-8 guests, ensuring beautiful presentation and a memorable dining experience.
Collaborate with the client to ensure dishes are presented beautifully, including attention to table settings and plating.
Comfortable cooking in a non-formal home environment, with an emphasis on warmth, creativity, and family-friendly meals.
Requirements:
Familiar with the Hamptons and comfortable sourcing fresh, local ingredients from local markets and prepare meals with high-quality, seasonal products.
Comfortable preparing meals for families and children, with a personable demeanor and the ability to interact comfortably with clients.
Ability to work with the client on menu planning and customization.
Spanish-speaking is a plus.
Valid driver’s license.
