Our mission is to help Associates (adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities) find their dream jobs by connecting them with the perfect employers. Your mission? To use your expertise in employment to help others find theirs.
As a Job Developer, you'll be the ultimate matchmaker. You'll bring in employers who are eager to hire our Associates, turning job seekers into employees. The irony? While you help others secure jobs, you'll also ensure our company thrives by forging these essential connections with accomplished business leaders, industry organizations, and public agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employer Outreach: Actively seek out and build relationships with employers who have hiring needs.
- Associate Advocacy: Understand the skills and aspirations of our job-seeking Associates and advocate on their behalf to potential employers.
- Networking: Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to promote our Associates and services.
- Market Research: Stay updated on labor market trends and employer needs to better align Associate skills with job opportunities.
- Placement Success: Celebrate the irony of your role by ensuring a high placement rate for our Associates, thereby securing your own job stability.

Education/Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience in employment placement, workforce development and vocational counseling activities.
Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a job developers, recruitment or a related field and proven leadership qualities. Prior experience as a supervisor or team leader managing individuals with diverse backgrounds and personalities.
Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of options for sourcing jobs, ability to cold call potential employers. Knowledge of local employment market. Sales expertise in initiating and nurturing productive partnerships. Results-driven, self-starter, and persuasive communicator. Excellent oral and written communications skills, Ability to conduct presentations to groups. Negotiation skills. Ability to network and build relationships with employers across various industries. Ability to work independently in the community and make sound, timely decisions. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift rapidly. Ability to seek and accept constructive criticism. Microsoft operating system navigation: Office, Outlook, Excel, Teams, One-Drive, PowerPoint, Google browser. Bilingual in Armenian (optional).
Requirements: Current California Driver’s License and clean driving record; 3 years driving experience. Must possess adequate vehicle insurance. Must be willing to drive your vehicle to transport participants, as necessary for employment (mileage reimbursement provided at the IRS approved rate). Must successfully pass all employment requirements prior to starting work, including live scan/fingerprinting and TB test and in accordance with Title 22, Section 80065 (g 1 & 2) and (h).
