The Grower is responsible for completing tasks assigned by automated software related to the propagation and cultivation of plants within a controlled environment to achieve production goals and maintain the highest quality standards. This role involves a wide range of horticultural activities, including irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease management, harvesting, maintenance, and cleaning. The Grower works closely with a small team led by the owner to optimize plant growth and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Follows procedures for irrigation, fertilization, propagation, pruning, transplanting, and grow room maintenance.
• Organize and prioritize tasks based on workload following the priority schedule.
• Implement and follow various irrigation and horticultural protocols to optimize plant health.
• Monitor and understand ideal environments for the rooting cuttings and plants..
• Report equipment issues to the owner unless you have been trained on performing maintenance.
• Foster teamwork by collaborating with coworkers and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Maintain accurate daily records for grow room operations and upload crop notes and photos to the grow log.
• Conduct and log regular measurements to ensure optimal plant health and yields.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Basic understanding of growing in rockwool and crop steering tactics.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and utilize technology, including Google Sheets, email, irrigation software, and TrolMaster controllers.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, follow written procedures, and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including sitting, standing, or walking for long periods, occasional lifting, and working with cleaning chemicals, being provided with the proper PPE in accordance with labels.
