Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the needs and interests of residents.
- Coordinate and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly activities that encourage participation and foster community.
- Facilitate group activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and outings to enhance social engagement.
- Assess individual resident needs regarding Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and provide appropriate support.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure activities align with residents' health and wellness plans.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of participation in activities and evaluate their effectiveness regularly.
- Provide counseling on aging issues as needed to support residents emotionally and socially.
Qualifications
- Experience in senior care or long-term care settings preferred.
- Knowledge of aging issues counseling and home community care practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
