Position Summary

The Training Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees across global offices. This role requires a strong facilitator with robust project management skills and a passion for employee development. This role will manage annual global associate training, Finance Training Day, intern speaker series and will facilitate professional skills training courses in-person and virtually. This role will also assist with the Global Mentoring program, DDQ requests and capturing metrics that demonstrate program ROI.


This role is essential in creating a culture of continuous learning, enhancing the skills of our workforce, and ensuring that our teams are well-equipped to meet the demands of the private equity industry.


Occasional travel may be required.


Responsibilities

Annual Global Associate Training Program:

  • Design and implement comprehensive orientation for new Investment Professional associates, ensuring alignment with firm objectives and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with a working team of business SMEs to identify training needs and develop content that enhance technical and soft skills.


Intern Speaker Series:

  • Organize and manage an engaging speaker series featuring industry leaders and experts, providing interns with insights into the private equity landscape.
  • Coordinate logistics, including scheduling, speaker selection, and promotional materials.


Finance Training Day:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual Finance Training Day, ensuring it covers essential topics relevant to Investor Services employees.
  • Collaborate with internal experts and external industry professionals to develop engaging and informative sessions that enhance participants' financial acumen.
  • Facilitation of Professional Skills Training Sessions:
  • Facilitate sessions or collaborate with external experts to deliver high-quality content
  • Create an interactive learning environment that encourages participation and fosters knowledge retention.


Program Evaluation and Metrics:

  • Develop and implement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze data to assess the impact of training initiatives on employee performance and organizational goals, providing regular reports/updates to leadership.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with HR, business leaders, and external partners to ensure training initiatives align with organizational goals.
  • Communicate training opportunities and updates.


Mentoring Program:

  • Assist with implementing a global structured mentoring program that pairs employees with experienced professionals to foster skill development and career growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of mentoring relationships, providing support and guidance to participants.


Budget Management:

  • Assist in managing the training budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions for all learning and development initiatives.


Industry Trends and Best Practices:

  • Use AI to stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development to continuously enhance training programs.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 5 years in Human Resources, specifically Talent Development, preferably in the Financial Services industry
  • Experience in the development, execution, and management of
  • global Learning and Development initiatives
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Fundamental working knowledge of the Financial Services Industry


Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Organization Development, Human Resources, or related fields
  • Hogan, StrengthsFinder, DISC, and/or MBTI certifications a plus


Position-specific Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office skills especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and training software
  • Proficiency with ChatGPT or AI software
  • SharePoint


Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.


The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $125,000.


In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
