Regional Director of Human Resources
The Carmelite System is a multi-state, not-for-profit senior living organization sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters of the Aged & Infirm.
We are seeking to hire a Regional Director of Human Resources.
- This corporate level position is in-person (Framingham, MA) with extended periods of travel as necessary. Team members work in Eastern and Central Standard Time zones.
- $150K annually based on skills, experience and certifications.
Regional Director of Human Resources Introduction:
This role serves under the direction of the Vice President of HRIT to create and maintain strategies, set goals and objectives for the organization. This role maintains State and Federal compliance for each Carmelite Long-Term Care Community while working with multiple state regulators, diverse cultures, variety of audiences, to assure business culture, expectations, deadlines, and goals are met. This role also monitors daily local HR Department operations by supervising the HR teams and setting performance standards, identifying recruitment needs, standardizing onboarding processes, and creating new training and development programs for the organization. This role is also responsible for preparing and managing the regional division’s budget, approving disciplinary actions, conducting exit interviews, and tracking KPIs.
Regional Director of Human Resources Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Occupational Development or related field, from an accredited college or university.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources in the health care industry.
- Long-Term Care industry experience preferred.
- HR Certifications (PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- Ability to travel.
- Excellent knowledge of employment laws and HR Best Practices.
- Demonstrated success at building external and internal relationships.
- Experience working within a demanding corporate environment with access to highly confidential and proprietary information.
- Proficiency in maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Regional Director of Human Resources Job Summary:
- Lead the design and implementation of the performance management system and quarterly review of pay structures at each Home to ensure equity.
- Develop standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for the Local HR Leaders of each community and the System Office.
- Oversee, investigate, and document findings and recommendations of each Corporate Compliance Hotline Complaint.
- Partner with legal consultants to conduct Union Awareness Education and participate in contract negotiations.
- Oversee and manage labor issues at each community and the System to include Lawsuits; EEOC Charges; Unemployment Compensation, Employee Claims (EPL) and Workers’ Compensation claims.
- Develop and deploy standardized full-cycle recruitment process; identify local and regional opportunities; optimize applicant tracking tools.
- Partner with Marketing to review Branding and reputation management.
- Oversee audits of HR Employee Files; I-9 Compliance and licensure while keeping abreast of regulatory changes.
- Participate in surveys for each Home.
- Review position control, monitor Leave Management and review overtime reports.
- Assess and support needs/capabilities of local HR Leaders providing training and toolkits to mitigate gaps as identified.
- Oversee timely regulatory reporting and Labor Law requirements and OSHA reporting.
- Ensure effective communication in alignment with key messages to all internal and external constituents regarding Carmelite Sisters’ mission and values.
- Partner with VP of Business Development in creating effective employee communication tools on critical/seasonal topics of interest importance to all.
