We are seeking a mid-level Cyber Security Engineer for a long-term contract position with our client, a globally recognized company with a quality brand of products.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the industry, such as security administration and familiarity with cyber security technologies and standards.
- Proficient in a broad array of security software applications and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security access and maintaining the relevant data.
- Develop scripts, use tools, and procedures to automate scans, assessments, and other monitoring and discovery activities.
- Conduct vulnerability testing and risk analyses to assess security and performing internal and external security audits.
- Analyze security breaches to identify the cause and to update incidence responses and disaster recovery plans.
Requirements and Skills
- Interest in remaining current on the latest technology and best practices in information security.
- Knowledge and understanding of application security.
- Experienced with penetration testing and techniques.
- Able to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of computer-related security systems including firewalls, IDPS concepts, endpoint security, encryption, and password protection and authentication.
- Comfortable working with all types of operating systems such as Linux, Windows, iOS, Android etc.
