CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

We are searching for an experienced CFO to join our senior leadership team. The CFO will lead the Finance and Accounting team and will be responsible for the companies’ finance, accounting, treasury, risk management, and information technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership – Lead team of approximately 25 professionals.
  • Capital Markets - Provide strong leadership to the companies’ capital markets efforts, which include borrowing for construction and permanent loans, assessing interest rate protection options, negotiating loans and loan covenants. Develop and maintain relationships with a well-rounded group of bank partners.
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting - Oversee the preparation of all monthly and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, management reports, and tax returns, for approximately 100 legal entities.
  • Cash Management – Work with the company’s treasurer to manage cash and float effectively.
  • Risk Management – Work with the company’s risk manager to ensure risks are understood and the comprehensive insurance program is cost effective. Creatively manage risk and support captive insurance companies.
  • Compliance – Ensure support compliance of certain HR activities, including 401(k), self-insured medical plans, etc.
  • Planning and Analysis – Support the company’s cash forecast needs and investment analysis.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Track record of success in financial or accounting leadership roles
  • Capital markets and borrowing experience
  • Track record of leading and developing teams
  • Strong work ethic and exceptional personal integrity
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in accounting, business, or finance preferred
  • CPA license is helpful but not required
  • Real Estate or Construction experience is helpful but not required
