Catlin Gabel School seeks a dedicated Day Porter (PM Shift) to support custodial and maintenance operations across campus. This role collaborates with the Maintenance and Grounds Teams to ensure a clean, safe environment, assisting with event setups, cleanups, and daily sanitation. A few of the role’s highlights include:
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Sanitize surfaces, restrooms, and common areas; empty trash.
- Event Support: Assist with setups, takedowns, and post-event cleaning.
- Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: Perform annual deep cleaning and operate equipment for tasks like snow removal.
- Work Orders & Safety: Complete assigned tasks while following safety protocols.
- Security & Teamwork: Lock/unlock buildings and collaborate with the Facilities team.
Schedule:
This full-time position (40 hours/week, typically 1pm-9:30pm) will have a rotating schedule, that could include weekends, as determined by the Facilities Manager and based on school events.
Pay Rate: $23-$25/hour (depending on experience)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Prior janitorial or general maintenance experience is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
